Before attending to this course, I had no any ideas what is HRIS about. I even don't know what is HRIS stand for. After attending the first lecture, I had exposed to what is HRIS, why was it was needed in an organization. HRIS is software for the data entry, data tracking, and data information needs of the Human Resources, payroll, management, and accounting functions within a business.HRIS designed by integrated with powerful reporting system, analysis system to help employee or employer in decision making, transaction of daily activities with quickly and efficiency. HRIS helped organization to expand and compete their business and improves efficiency and effectiveness of business processes. From the first assignment given by the day of tutorial, we had assign to read and answer certain question about topic 1 of HRIS before the next class. With this assignment, i had exposed to what is HR activities, what is the differentiate between transactional, traditional, transformational activities and also how technology help deliver HR activities more efficiently and effectively. Technology such like internet has make the HR activities become more systematic and globalization. Besides that, with the first activity given during the class, i realized that there are many types of HRIS such like transaction processing system, management information system and executive information system. My group was chosen transaction processing system as the nearest and most familiar system to us. Transaction processing system is a system to improved efficiency in the processing of daily business transactions. Real-time validity check can make sure the document or information always in a high degree of accuracy and integrity. It's is fast processing and save costs. Furthermore, we had also exposed to what is six sigma, the role of HRIS and how does it so important within the world with globalization. In my opinion, HRIS is needed for an organization in order to increase their competency and competitive with the organization around the world.
